Today saw a strong 2's team take on Falkirk & Linlithgow 3's who had beaten Peebles comfortably the week prior.
The game started and possession was pretty much even as both team settled into the game. Slowly Fidra started to dominate the game with more and more attacking plays. This stated to produce attempts on goal but Fidra were thwarted by some excellent saves from the Falkirk keeper. Amazingly with all this pressure the half finished 0-0.
The second half started as the first finished with Fidra dominating play and moving the ball around the pitch easily to break down the Falkirk defence. With more and more attempts on goal eventually the deadlock was broken and Andy Wallace chalked up a hat-trick, but Fidra should have had a lot more but for the Falkirk keeper.
All in all a comfortable game with the Fidra keeper only touching the ball once in each half and Falkirk not having a single shot on goal. Unsurprisingly Andy Wallace was awarded Man of the Match.
